Food for the journey: bite-sized mid-week nourishment

Thinking of our passage from Luke on Sunday -
Luke 9:51-62 on following Jesus and the cost of discipleship...
Being called to follow Jesus means not always staying in your old comfort zone:
it’s about being willing to be challenged, and venture into occasional unknown territory;
it’s a willingness to trust and be transformed by God -
it will always involve change.

“It is only because he became like us
that we can become like him.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of Discipleship

And, a bonus extra for this week:
Each day, make some space to read the passage from Galatians – Gal. 5:1, 13-25.
You could choose to read the whole passage every day,
or, you could work through it over the course of the week,
taking two to three verses day by day.
As you take time sitting with scripture, ask yourself:
Is there a particular word or phrase that holds your attention?
Write it down.
What is it about this word, or phrase, that's caught your eye?
You might use this word/ phrase to shape your prayer for the day.
